“Intro (ft. Zola Jesus)” - M83 

I find it hard to describe a moment like this, when a track I’ve been shamelessly coveting finally sees light. It falls somewhere between finding out an essay is one thousand characters, not words, and going to Disneyland. At least, that’s what I would guess, having never been to Disneyland myself. I hear it’s great though. Anyways, “Intro” (streaming on Abeano) carries the promise of great things to come, and is exactly what one would expect from the introduction to a monstrous M83 double album. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming (Mute, October 18th) and Conatus (Sacred Bones, October 4th) are easily two of the most promising albums of the year. The reasons are evident here; just listen to the track they’ve created. Listen to Nika Danilova sing.
